New Hampshire Woman and Rwandan Musical Artist Bring Hope to East Africa this Christmas.
BEDFORD, NH -- (RENEW RECORDS) -- 11/21/2006 -- Jean Paul Samputu, KORA Award winner in 2003 (the "African Grammy"), travels the world as a cultural ambassador for Rwanda bringing to his audiences traditional Rwandan singing, dancing and drumming, and a message of healing. A survivor of the genocide in Rwanda , Samputu takes us to the most positive place of humanity through his spirit and graciousness. Having found hope and forgiveness in Jesus Christ, Samputu brings hope to children and adults of all ages through his music.
This Christmas Samputu has united with New Hampshire based Nashville recording Artist Meme Stephens to Bring Hope to the Children of East Africa. The "H.O.P.E. for the Children Christmas Musical Tour" will tour in Kenya , Uganda , Rwanda and Burundi from December 13-31 offering free concerts for the orphans and other vulnerable children who are affected by HIV/AIDS and genocide in East Africa . "If we can teach the children the message of love, healing and reconciliation, then we may rid the world of genocide." Jean Paul Samputu. Samputu and Stephens will also be joined on the tour by Gospel recording artists David Griffiths and Monique Steele.
